Does Axis report to the credit bureaus?

Yes, we report to Equifax monthly. Remember this is a great way to rebuild your credit, so it is important to make your payments on time!

Can I change my payment due date or payment frequency on my car loan payment?

Yes you can. We provide our customers with options when circumstances change. Certain rules apply. Please contact our customer service team for further information.

What if I have an accident?

You must contact your insurance company and Axis immediately.

What is the credit profile of a typical Axis customer?

Those with a credit score below 650, are new to the country, have difficulty proving income, limited credit info, a history of repayment issues, bankruptcy filings, consumer proposal (discharged or un-discharged) or other situations preventing financing by traditional lending sources.

How do I submit an application to Axis?

Applications may be submitted via Dealertrack, email, fax or through the Axis Auto Finance website.

How long does it take to receive a response to a submitted application?

We process applications within 2-4 hours of receipt, at which point we issue a response via Dealertrack, email, phone or fax. 

What is the maximum age and mileage of vehicles that can be financed?

We finance vehicles up to a maximum of 10 years old and/or 185,000 km.


What does Axis do?

Axis is a financial technology company changing the way Canadians buy and finance used vehicles. Through our direct-to-consumer portal, DriveAxis.ca, customers can choose their next used vehicle, arrange financing and get the car delivered to their home. Axis Auto Finance announces quarterly earnings within 60 days of the end of each fiscal quarter, which are September 30th, December 31st, and March 31st.  For the June 30th year end, results are published within 120 days of the year end, typically towards the end of October.
